Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on the 10th of March, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her brothers and sisters. Stone is a gifted student in school as young children, began in second grade at five. Saegertown Senior High School in Saegertown Pennsylvania, was where she received her diploma in the year 1975. She also competed and was crowned the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone together with her aunt, in 1977 made the move into New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week further. She soon relocated to Europe and spent a full year with her aunt in Milan and Paris. Stone unhappy with the model world that was thriving in Europe decided to take up acting while living in Europe. At 20, she appeared in the film of Woody Allen "Stardust Memories" that received mixed praises.
